  • The prices range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars depending on the property-type, scope of work required to produce credible results and the required turn-around time. At RIGHT CHOICE we charge a competitive price for an honest, well-supported appraisal report delivered in a timely manner.

  • Most residential real estate appraisals take about a week from time of inspection. Expedited service is available. Commercial real estate appraisals can take a few weeks to a few months depending on the property type, number of properties, scope of work required to produce credible results, inspection access and how quickly you or your client can provide the required documentation. Expedited service is also available for commercial properties.

  • Yes. We are New York State licensed and certified and we comply with all generally accepted practices for real estate appraisers as outlined in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) developed by The Appraisal Foundation. We also comply with Title XI and amendments of The Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989 (FIRREA).

  • We specialize in the New York City Metropolitan area including the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, Westchester, Long Island and Rockland. Counties covered include Kings County, Queens County, Bronx County, New York County, Richmond County, Nassau County, Suffolk County, and Rockland County.

  • We accept most forms of payment: check, money order, cash, credit/debit cards, Zelle, PayPal and Venmo. There is a small surcharge when using credit/debit cards.

  • Your real estate appraisal value is as of the “effective” date. In most cases this is the date of inspection. In some instances, we are hired to provide valuation services for a date in the past or a “retrospective” date, such as a date of death. The length of time you choose to use your appraisal report is subjective. Bear in mind the real estate market is dynamic and the factors that effect value are ever-changing.
